In response to Governor Inslee’s executive order to close all public and private K-12 schools in Pierce, King, and Snohomish counties the Farmhouse School has decided to follow suit. We will be closed starting Friday, March 13th. We will send out an email update on Friday, March 20 in regards to our next steps. This will give us time to monitor the rapidly evolving public health situation around COVID-19 and take appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our community.
We know that this decision may have a substantial impact on our families. It was one that we made thoughtfully with an abundance of care for the entire community.
The Farmhouse School is a unique preschool learning environment (located in Gilman Village, Issaquah) where children are immersed in a discovery based, Reggio Emilia influenced curriculum. Our education philosophy is centered on empowering children; encouraging them to develop their social, cognitive, emotional, and physical selves through exploration and play. Our goal at The Farmhouse School is to help each child develop lifelong joy in learning, belief in themselves, self-responsibility, drive to follow their passions, and desire to contribute to their community.
